Locating Underground Utilities Using Potholing

Challenge: A local DFW concrete contractor was tasked with installing 30+ light pole bases around a newly constructed and densely populated apartment community. There were numerous underground utilities and coms, some of which were not confidently identified. The bases measured approx. 18" diam x 8' deep. Solution: Hydroexcavation - Kleen Pipe worked with the contractor to identify the location of each base per client specs. We potholed each location initially to ensure there was nothing exposed that would prevent the base framework to be installed. There were numerous conflicts with existing underground observations thus requiring adjustments to each location.
