Storm Pipe Joint Separation

Challenge:

A contractor found that an existing 24" storm pipe had experienced a significant joint offset separation thereby causing infiltration, restricted flow and potentially destabilizing the adjacent roadway and highway structure. Access was limited and the problem area was identified to be within a few feet of a load bearing retaining wall related to a major elevated section of highway.

Solution:

Pipepatch "No Dig Pipe Repair" – Kleen Pipe had the challenge of gaining access thru the storm line that originated on an elevated overpass and contained multiple turns and slopes. Once clear entry and exit was established Kleen Pipe then prepared and tested the access to ensure proper placement of the point repair. The entire process, once access was established was completed in about 6 hours with minimal inconvenience to motorists.
