Major Roadway Sinkhole Pipepatch Repair
Challenge:
A major roadway experienced an unexpected "sinkhole" that was eventually found to be the result of a partially collapsed large diameter storm pipe. The entity responsible was looking for a solution that would not require a major excavation, excessive time, and resulting exorbitant costs of managing an expected period of relocated traffic due to the construction.
Solution:
Pipepatch "No Dig Pipe Repair" – Kleen Pipe essentially rebuilt a section of the existing storm pipe from the inside out. Kleen Pipe technicians developed a technique to overlap each repair for about 10-12 feet. Once the pipe was reestablished, the contractor was able to utilize a back fill for the exposed area and resurface the roadway.
